Memberships Open for 2026 – Major Updates for North Shore Board Riders

North Shore Board Riders (NSB) memberships for the 2026 season are now open, and this year brings some important and exciting changes for all members.

The biggest update for 2026 is the inclusion of a Surfing Queensland Club Membership built directly into every NSB membership. This is a major step forward for the club and our surfers, delivering a range of valuable benefits — most importantly personal accident insurance while training and competing.

Family & Parent Assist Memberships

There are several important updates to how family and parent assist memberships work in 2026:

  • Family memberships now require members to contact the club to receive a discount code prior to joining. This code reduces the Surfing Queensland Club Membership component to half price, delivering a significant saving for families.

  • For Parent Assist surfers competing with a parent or guardian, a discounted option is available by selecting the Parent Assist Family Membership during renewal or new sign-up.

  • If a child is surfing in a parent assist division with another active, paid-up NSB member, there is no need to register as a family. The child can be entered individually under the relevant Parent Assist division.

Important Membership Deadline

It is essential that all members are fully paid and registered before Round 1 on 1 February. Due to insurance requirements, surfers cannot compete or participate unless their membership is active, ensuring protection for both the individual and the club.

Life Members

Life Members who intend to compete during the 2026 season are asked to contact the club before subscribing. Discount codes are available that will reduce membership costs to zero where applicable.
